Radio UQ went to air for the first time this week, with a snapshot of the what the show has to offer over the next few weeks. Fraser Johnson and Nao Azuma highlighted the variety events happening on the St Lucia campus this week including a lecture presented by Dr. Ralf Dietzgen on rhabdoviruses and related pathogens in agriculture. Also, this week many students will graduate from The University of Queensland, and the Radio UQ team wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
To highlight the happenings in the Humanities and Social Sciences faculty, Dr. John Harrison joined Fraser and Nao in the studio. The team discussed the upcoming amalgamation of the School of Journalism and Communication, and the School of English, Media Studies and Art History. Dr. John Harrison also discussed the process of choosing students to take part in Vietnam 3, an intensive reporting trip offered by the School of Journalism and Communication.
Fraser Johnson, Ashleigh Hopkins, and Nao Azuma also caught up with a few students still on campus for our Voices of UQ segment. This weeks topic was all about students likes and dislikes of UQ.
Eve Anderson, Fraser Johnson, Ashleigh Hopkins, and Nao Azuma look forward to bringing you more up-to-date information from The University of Queensland over the next few weeks.
